Ji-Hye Jung performs as a soloist and chamber musician. Her international career began when she won second prize at the 10th International Mozart Competition in Salzburg in 2011. She has performed as a soloist with the Camerata Salzburg under the direction of Dennis Russell Davies in the main hall of the Mozarteum, in the Berlin Philharmonie with musicians from the Deutsche Oper Berlin and at the international music festival "Young Classic Europe" in Passau, the Donauforum Linz, the Seoul Arts Center and the Sejong Arts Center in Seoul. She has given numerous solo recitals in Italy, Austria, Korea and Germany, and has performed the complete Mozart oeuvre for piano four-hands with the pianists Ji-Soo Yoo and Jung-Eun Kim in several piano duo cycles.
She won the second prize at the 10th International Mozart Competition in Salzburg in 2011, the first prize at the International Music Competition “Pietro Argento” 2010, the Grand prize at the Piano Society of Korea Competition, the first prize at the Eumak Journal Piano Competition, the third prize at TBC(Taegu Broadcasting corporation) Piano Competition.
Ji-Hye Jung received her piano education at Seoul Art High School and completed her bachelor's degree at Ewha Womans University in Seoul. She studied with Prof. Andreas Weber at the University Mozarteum in Salzburg, and in 2009 she completed her Master degree with distinction, and the Postgraduate in 2011. Further musical inspirations she recieved from Sergei Dorensky, Andrzej Jasinski, Robert Levin, Gilead Mishory and Angela Hewitt.
Ji-Hye Jung has been a dozent for piano at the University Mozarteum Salzburg since 2019 and completed her artistic habilitation in 2023. In addition she has been a member of faculty at the International Summer Academy Mozarteum since 2024.
